Join us for cocktails, light bites, fun and celebration during EDUCAUSE on November 2, 2017 at 5:30 pm

With the support of CDW•G, Adobe, Cisco and Microsoft Azure, E&I Cooperative is pleased to welcome you to celebrate the E&I Cloud Leadership Awards at Educause 2017.

The Awards will be from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 to recognize higher education institutions who are leading innovation in education with cloud applications. 24 Award Winners and many honorable mentions will be celebrated.

Join CIOs and IT leadership teams from across the country. This is a great chance to see which institutions are innovating with the cloud and ask them what they are up to!

How are winners recognized?

All winners will be recognized at a dedicated ceremony during the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 2, 2017.

Winning institutions will receive a trophy and will be included in industry-wide announcements and articles including a press release.

How will winners be chosen?

Nominees will be evaluated by our panel of judges, Michael Brown, Vicki Tambellini, and Josh Becker. Learn more about the judges here. Winners will be chosen based upon criteria including number of students impacted, cost savings, and improved IT performance. The judges will select three overall Cloud Innovation winners, as well as three winners in each of the following categories, and up to twenty-six honorable mentions:

● Identity/Access Management

● Cloud Storage

● Backup/Disaster Recovery

● Hybrid IaaS/PaaS

● Security/Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB)

● Collaboration

● General Leadership / Other use of cloud

Who's eligible?

All accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States are eligible to receive a Cloud Leadership Award.  Nominations may be submitted by any person, whether or not they are employed by the post-secondary institution being nominated.  We ask that for any nomination you include the name of a professional who is employed by the institution who is familiar with the use and adoption of cloud-based solutions.  This may include a CIO, Vice President, Director or Manager of Information Technology, Director of Technology, Director of Applications, IT Purchasing Director or Manager or similar title.  You may nominate your own institution.  After the round of nominations closes, we will contact the institution to better understand the cloud initiatives as they relate to the Award categories.

About the award

Cloud computing enables students, teachers, administrators and staff to reliably access information, collaborate, and create & deliver content from anywhere, anytime, on any device. It streamlines services, saves IT time on labor and maintenance, and encourages resource allocation for more innovative and efficient projects, whether academic or business-related. Nominate a higher education institution you believe deserves recognition for their innovation in cloud computing.

The E&I Cloud Leadership Awards were originated in 2017 by E&I Cooperative Services, Inc.  

E&I is the largest, member-owned, not-for-profit purchasing cooperative serving the needs of education. E&I provides over 100 competitively awarded contracts as well as consulting services and dedicated member resources nationwide.
