  • Awards Ceremony

    Join us for cocktails, light bites, fun and celebration during EDUCAUSE on November 1, 2018 at 5:30 pm

    E&I Cooperative is pleased to welcome you to celebrate the E&I Cloud Leadership Awards at Educause 2018.

    The awards ceremony will be held in Denver, Co on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm to recognize higher education institutions who are leading innovation in education with cloud applications.

    Join CIOs and IT leadership teams from across the country. This is a great chance to see which institutions are innovating with the cloud and ask them what they are up to!

  • How are winners recognized?

    All winners will be recognized at a dedicated ceremony during the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Denver, CO on November 1, 2018.

    Winning institutions will receive a trophy and will be included in industry-wide announcements and articles including a press release.

  • How will winners be chosen?

    Nominees will be evaluated by our panel of judges, Derek Masseth, Ron Kraemer, Gordon Wishon, Sean O’Brien, and Keith Fowlkes. Learn more about the judges here. Winners will be chosen based upon criteria including number of students impacted, cost savings, and improved IT performance. The judges will select a winner and runner-up in each of the six categories, as well as an overall winner and runner-up.

  • When are nominations due?

    Nominations must be submitted by September 28, 2018. Please access the nomination form here.  We recommend submitting any nominations as early as possible.

  • Who’s eligible?

    All accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States are eligible to receive a Cloud Leadership Award.  Nominations may be submitted by any person, whether or not they are employed by the post-secondary institution being nominated.  We ask that for any nomination you include the name of a professional who is employed by the institution who is familiar with the use and adoption of cloud-based solutions.  This may include a CIO, Vice President, Director or Manager of Information Technology, Director of Technology, Director of Applications, IT Purchasing Director or Manager or similar title.  You may nominate your own institution.  After the round of nominations closes, we will contact the institution to better understand the cloud initiatives as they relate to the Award categories.

  • About the award

    Cloud computing enables students, teachers, administrators and staff to reliably access information, collaborate, and create & deliver content from anywhere, anytime, on any device. It streamlines services, saves IT time on labor and maintenance, and encourages resource allocation for more innovative and efficient projects, whether academic or business-related. Nominate a higher education institution you believe deserves recognition for their innovation in cloud computing.

    The E&I Cloud Leadership Awards were originated in 2017 by E&I Cooperative Services, Inc. Sponsors of the 2018 E&I Cloud Leadership Awards include Canon, D2L, DLT and Juniper.
